Woodville Families,
I hope everyone had a great weekend and you’re ready for another exciting week ahead! We have a lot happening over the next few days, so we wanted to share a few important reminders and updates.
Our Discovery Museum enrichment begins this week. These experiences are such a wonderful opportunity for our students, and we appreciate our PTO for organizing this event for our students. All grades will experience this enrichment this week with the exception of 2nd grade who will have it next week.
On Friday, we’ll be holding our Halloween Parade (9am), which is always a highlight! This year, we’ll be calling grade levels individually to help reduce congestion and keep things moving smoothly around the building. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation in helping the event run safely and efficiently. Parents - feel free to dress up as well!
Please also remember that Friday is a half day for all students.
Looking ahead, we will hold our Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 7th. This year, we would love to include voices from our school community! If you or someone in your family is a veteran or current service member, and would like to participate, we invite you to submit a short video stating your name, your military branch, associated students at Woodville and a brief reflection on how your service connects (or connected) to our school’s core values (CARES). Videos can be sent directly to me and the deadline for submitting videos is 10/31. At this point, I have received two videos, please encourage others to participate! Also, all veterans and current service members are invited to attend the ceremony. We are grateful for your service and look forward to honoring our veterans together.
