Woodville Families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! With the snowfall we enjoyed, many of you, like my family, may have spent a good portion of the day outside playing in the snow with your children.

This week, we are excited to introduce new core values at Woodville School. This work has been a collaborative effort that included input from a variety of stakeholders, including families, and we look forward to sharing the final outcome with our school community very soon.

In addition, this Friday we will host our first mentoring day. Older elementary classes will be paired with younger elementary classes to attend an assembly together and participate in a shared activity. The goals of this initiative are to foster cross-grade relationships, encourage leadership and responsibility in our older students as role models, and strengthen our sense of connection as a whole school community grounded in our core values.

These mentoring groups will meet several times throughout the school year.  We will gather feedback during this process, with the intention of refining the model and launching a finalized version that spans the entire school year beginning this fall.
