The Wakefield Public Schools offers healthy meals every school day. We are excited to have the opportunity to feed the students of Wakefield nutritious and delicious meals.
Each of our schools offers school lunch and you can find the menu on the Wakefield Public Schools website.
Please feel free to contact us at the School Nutrition Office, located within the Wakefield Memorial High School, anytime by phone at (781) 246-6440 with any questions or concerns.
Wakefield Public School uses MySchoolBucks.com, an online prepayment system and free monitoring of student purchases from food services. All cafeterias have computerized registers and each student has a personalized account. All students are assigned a 4 to 5-digit Student ID number which can be used to set up an account on MySchoolBucks.com and use it when they purchase items in the cafeteria. Deposits made will allow students access to a la carte items where offered as well as the vending machines at Galvin Middle School.
Payment Methods
To add money to your child’s school meal account, you may make an online payment on MySchoolBucks.com, pay by check, or pay with cash. Please review, with each of your children, your own "rules" regarding the use of school lunch account money for these purchases. If you need any assistance with your child's account, or their use of it, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Summer Maintenance
Please note that each summer, the system is OFF until we return in mid-August. You will not be able to add a student or make payments until the system is turned back ON.
Wakefield School’s Food & Nutrition Department would like to update you with exciting news about universal free school meals. It's official! Massachusetts has become the 8th state to make meals free indefinitely! This means that every student is eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day. All additional meals outside the first breakfast (where applicable) and lunch will be charged along with the school’s current meal rates.
Please note that even though every student may obtain one free breakfast (where applicable) and one free lunch per day, families may still complete the Free and Reduced Meal Benefit application. We encourage families to utilize our free online portal to submit free and reduced applications - see link below. All paper applications can be sent to Wakefield High School at 60 Farm Street, Wakefield MA, 01880 - with attention to the Food Services Office.
Online applications yield a quicker and more immediate response to benefit status. However, paper applications are made available, if needed. Only one application is needed per family and can be submitted at any time throughout the school year.
