*The Upper House Student Council has planned the first Spirit Week of the year. Participate by dressing up for the theme of each day. Fall Spirit Week Lineup TODAY is Pink Out / Breast Cancer Awareness Today we wear pink! Show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by dressing head-to-toe in pink. Thursday, 10/29 — Jersey Day Represent your favorite pro, college, or local sports team by wearing their jersey or team gear. Friday, 10/30 —Halloween Theme Get spooky for the final day! Wear your Halloween theme gear (note: no masks allowed), rep the holiday colors of orange/black or purple/green.
*REMINDER: Friday, October 30th is an Early Release Day. Students will be dismissed at 11:15. Also, there is No School for students on Tuesday, November 3rd due to the State Election Day.
*The Pride Club will be meeting Monday, Nov. 2 from 2:15-3:15 in the 7th grade project room. The Pride Club is a student leadership club whose mission is to ensure that all students feel safe, accepted, and proud to be themselves. All grades are welcome to attend. Please see Ms. Warren if you have any questions.
*GMS Drama is now accepting applications for our Tech and Crew roles for Beauty and the Beast! Info can be found on their Google Classroom. Have questions? See Mrs. Knupp!
*8th graders, listen up. We need a catchy, creative, memorable cover for this year's yearbook. Got an idea? Can you turn it into a great design? Submit it to Mr. Winiarski in room 330 by this Friday,October 30th. If your artwork is chosen for the cover, you will win $25 and a free yearbook.
PARENT INFORMATION
*Students should not be entering the building before 7:15 am unless they are attending Jazz Band, Math Club, or have previously made arrangements with a teacher. There is no supervision in the cafe and breakfast is served from 7:15 am to 7:30 am. Thank you for your cooperation.
*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.
*A gentle reminder, for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.

*TODAY IS A FLEX WIN.
*Best Buddies will be meeting TODAY from 2:30-3:15 in the cafe.
*Attention 6th Graders: Your Night Spot is TOMORROW NIGHT from 7:00-8:30. Come join your friends for some fun!
*The Community Service Club is also sponsoring a winter coat drive. Clean out your closets and donate gently used and new winter coats for youth and adults. All donations can be dropped off in the collection bin in the cafeteria through January 9th. Thank you for your support!
