Summer Reading: All WMHS students are challenged to read two titles this summer. The most important thing about our program is that you choose books that you will enjoy. The Lucius Beebe Memorial Library has created suggested summer reading lists just to give you some ideas.

Wakefield Public Schools recently concluded a successful Decennial Accreditation visit by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The visiting committee provided valuable insights and affirmations, recognizing the strengths of our schools and offering constructive recommendations for continued growth. Their findings, based on extensive evidence and observations, highlight our dedicated staff, engaged students, and supportive community. We are now carefully reviewing the committee's report and will use their recommendations to further enhance our commitment to providing a high-quality and enriching educational experience for all Wakefield students. We look forward to sharing more information about our next steps as we continue to build upon the positive outcomes of this important accreditation process.
The Wakefield Public Schools have embarked on an exciting journey to define our Vision of the Graduate, a pivotal document that will articulate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions we aspire for each of our graduating students to possess. To bring this important work to life and foster community understanding, KartoonEdu has created a compelling video that introduces the core concepts and the collaborative process behind this initiative. This video serves as an engaging entry point, offering insights into the aspirations we hold for our students and the thoughtful approach we are taking to shape their future success.
