Teacher Appreciation Week
We are excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week next week. Our teachers and staff do a wonderful job, and celebrations like these go a long way. Many thanks to our PTO who has a host of activities planned for Teacher Appreciation week. Thank you to all of the parents who have signed up to volunteer, and if you haven’t already, please consider reaching out to the PTO or a room parent to see what additional help might be needed to prepare for these events.
End of School Year Dates
Assuming there are no additional unplanned school cancellations, our last day of school for grades 1-4 will be Wednesday, June 24th. This will be an early release day for all students. Kindergarten’s last day of school will be Monday, June 22nd. This day will be an early release day for Kindergarten only, and grades 1-4 will have a normal school day. Feel free to reach out with any questions about the end of school year schedule.
Staffing Updates
We are expecting some staffing changes at Walton for the last stretch of the school year. Mrs. Gallagher and Mrs. Inocencio will be going out on maternity leave (congratulations!), and Mrs. Polignone and Ms. Dziadyk will be stepping into the teacher roles in those classrooms. Additionally, Mrs. Voss (previously math interventionist) will be our substitute special education ISP for Mrs. Dziadyk, and Romaysae Khaja will be our substitute Kindergarten ISP for Mrs. Polignone. Mr. Andrew Driscoll will also join our staff to take over math intervention for the remainder of the school year. Please join me in welcoming these new staff to our school and their new roles.
