Announcements

Emergency Preparedness Training

Our crisis team recently participated in training with our district leaders and school resource officers to evaluate our crisis response plans and safety protocols at Walton. It was a positive experience for those who participated and helped our team identify areas where we can improve. We talked through potential safety scenarios and got feedback from the officers on our plans. We look forward to continuing this work with our school and district to make sure we are as prepared as we can be in the event of an emergency.

Frog Adaptations Visit

Our third graders are quickly becoming experts on frogs as they learn about frog adaptations in their core literacy unit. On Thursday, experts from the Stone Zoo will be visiting third grade to teach them about what unique adaptations in frogs and other animals have helped them to survive. We are excited for this opportunity to help bring our literacy curriculum alive for students!

PTO Enrichment - The Science of Sound

The Fourth Wall is coming to Walton this Friday for an excitingenrichment program. They will be performing “The Science of Sound” for all students. In this show, The Fourth Wall uses music, dance and acrobatics to teach students about sound waves, vibration, frequency and amplitude. Many thanks to our PTO and to WEF for bringing this program to Walton!
